Applicants with previous agricultural or <b>production experience will be considered preferred.  </b>Applicants must reside in the United States to be considered for an interview.</p><p><b>Requirements: </b>Must have at <b>least 12 months</b> of consecutive work history with one employer and no additional job gaps in employment greater than 6 months in the past 36 months. If applicant has been laid off or providing child or elder care, the employment gap will be increased to 18 months. Previous work history will not apply to applicants who have been full time students consecutively for the last 36 months.</p><p><b>Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days.</b></p><p><b>Rehire Rule of no more than 3 times worked at Cobb/Tyson Foods.</b></p><p></p><p>Company: Cobb</p><p></p><p>This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.</p><p></p><p><b>Location: Pocomoke Farm, Pocomoke, MD</b><span>         </span></p><p><b>Schedule:</b>  Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (rotating on-call weekends), including holidays</p><p><b>Hours:</b> 7:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Typically these positions generally average 40 hours a week. </p><p>Work schedule is subject to change based upon production needs.</p><p><br/><b>Position Summary</b></p><ul><li>This position is responsible for maintaining and repairing on-farm infrastructure.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Minimum Requirements: </b></p><ul><li>Education: Must be able to read, write, and have simple math [addition, subtraction, multiplication and division] skills.</li><li>Must have good oral and written communication skills.</li><li>Must have Valid Driver’s License, 1 year verifiable Driving experience with clean safety record</li><li>Fork lift certified or able to obtain certification.</li></ul><ul><li>Maintain maximum point level of 8</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</b>:</p><ul><li>Responsible for preventive maintenance program for all farm vehicles and poultry houses (50%)</li><li>Connects electrical wiring and cables; installs lighting fixtures, outlets, switches, wall boxes, and terminal boards (20%)</li><li>Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments; repairs or replaces defective parts; reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor (20%)</li><li>Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice, such as: Follow lock out tag out guidelines and procedures when performing activities that require lock out tag out; performs generator test runs each week (10%)</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Biosecurity/Animal Welfare Requirements</b>:</p><ul><li>The jobsite is a biosecure environment which requires showering, changing clothing and footwear before entering the facility.  Appropriate clothing and footwear is provided by the Company.  No jewelry may be worn on the jobsite except medical ID jewelry and body piercings covered by appropriate clothing. Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species (chickens, ducks, birds, etc.). Must be willing to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity and Company Animal Welfare
