About the role:
The Global Security & Resiliency Specialist is responsible supporting daily operations for sites within assigned regions to mitigate risks and safeguard the organization’s workplace, employees, intellectual property, integrity, and reputation, while upholding physical security standards. This role develops and implements effective processes to ensure physical and operational security, which includes guard force management, incident investigation, and related projects as assigned.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing, implementing, and upholding physical security programs to ensure compliance with BSC Global Security Standards
- Supporting corporate security systems management with oversight of site security, technology, maintenance, and functionality
- Performing physical security assessments for existing and newly acquired facilities
- Conducting access control audits for assigned regions as directed by global standards
- Guiding contract security personnel in executing post orders, SOPs, and daily operations
- Supporting Regional Security Managers with incident investigations, which includes supporting witness interviews, reviewing access control, and video management systems
- Supporting and delivering risk mitigation and emergency preparedness training programs
- Collaborating with regional partners such as the facilities, EHS, operations, and administration teams to develop, implement, and test emergency response plans
Required qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in corporate security including, security guard management, physical security, working with security systems and performing workplace investigations
- Experience with security vendor management and performance (i.e. security guards and technology integrators)
- Experience managing security technology service calls and new site integration projects
- Effective conflict management and de-escalation skills
- Proactive with ability to manage multiple priorities and work well under pressure
Preferred qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, emergency management or business administration
- Professional certifications such as Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP) or similar
- Self-starter with effective problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively with individuals on all levels

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com--will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.
Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
