HII-Mission Technologies is currently hiring a Combat Systems Test Engineer,  with integrated training systems experience (ITS), designing, developing, and implementing testing methods and equipment. The selected candidate will support the Integrated Training Systems-Systems Engineering contract for the ITS In-Service Engineering Agent located in Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division’s Dam Neck Activity in Virginia Beach, VA. #LI-SS1

What you will do

•  Designs, develops, and implements testing methods and equipment.
• Supervises manufacturing and installation of computer or computer-related equipment and components.
• Plans and arranges the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devices.
• Provides test area with parameters for sample testing and specifies tests to be performed. 
• Compiles data and defines changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements.. 
• Responsible for testing all customer samples and for special tests that cannot be performed in the test area.
• Display basic knowledge of electronic media, local area networks and associated accessories. Execute additional duties as tasked by Govt leads.

What you must have

• 2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 0 years experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience.

• Knowledge of local area networks (LAN) and associated equipment. 

• Experience in testing computers and/or computer-related equipment 

• Must be able to obtain a CompTIA Security+ certification within 6 months of hire. 

• Must have a current or active DoD secret clearance, and maintain throughout employment. 

• Must be a U.S Citizen. 

Preferred Requirements

 

• CompTIA Security+ certification or related IAT II certification preferred. 

• Bachelors in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or other engineering or technical discipline 

• Aegis Combat Systems (ACS) Experience and Battle Force Tactical Training (BFTT) Experience

• Ship's Self Defense System (SSDS) Combat Systems Experience

• Advanced Training Domain (ATD) Integrated Training Systems experience
