Join Collins Aerospace, a leader in aerospace and defense innovation, as a Senior Analyst, Contracts in our Electronic Systems portfolio of Thermal Electronics and Defense Solutions (TEDS). In this pivotal role, you will take the lead in managing complex contracts primarily with military prime contractors and the Department of Defense (DoD), while also supporting commercial aerospace OEM contracts. You’ll play a critical role in navigating high-stakes negotiations, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company policies, and acting as the primary liaison between internal teams and external stakeholders. What You Will Do:

• Administer and manage contracts from inception through completion, including preparing (pre-award responsibilities), reviewing (contract review), and verifying contract terms and conditions
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations
• Review and redline customer terms and conditions to support negotiations
• Review, redline and execute Customer NDAs / PIAs in support of Business Development and Pursuit to Order Capture activities
• Interface with internal stakeholders, including program management, finance, engineering, and procurement, to coordinate contract activities and resolve issues
• Support proposal preparation and review, including analyzing customer RFP requirements, special provisions, data deliverable and terms and conditions to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
• Monitor contract performance, deliverables and milestones, providing regular updates and reports to contracts management chain of command
• Support Contracts Manager in risk mitigation initiatives and strategies as assigned
• Maintain accurate and organized contract records and documentation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, finance, and program management, to support business objectives and resolve contract-related issues
• Support the development and implementation of contract management best practices and process improvements
• Travel: Occasional Business Travel is required, but not limited to: Facility in Medford, NY

What You Will Learn:

• Gain relevant experience navigating the complexities of aerospace/defense contracting with the U.S. Government
• Develop and grow principled negotiation skills by leading high-stakes discussions (in-person or virtual) with military prime contractors, DoD and supporting agencies (DCMA/DCAA) and commercial clients
• Strengthen knowledge and expertise of FAR Part 12 and Part 15 Contracting Procedures, mastering compliance with industry regulations, government standards and specific contractual terms across government and commercial sectors
• Improve your strategic problem-solving and decision-making abilities by independently managing complex contracts from inception to closure while ensuring compliance and maintaining strong client relationships

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field
• Entry Level / Foundational knowledge of U.S. government contracting regulations (FAR/DFARS).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

• Defense Acquisitions University (DAU) Certificates in categories relevant to Contracts
• Proficiency in ERP Systems (SAP, Epicor, etc.)
• Prior experience in government contracting capacities
