Seeking a dedicated engineer with expertise in mechanical engineering, HVAC systems, and plumbing to provide essential day-to-day engineering support for our operational maintenance staff. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring seamless building operation, minimizing redundancy and rework, and providing valuable feedback on major MEP system renovations and capital projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise other engineer positions and serve as the primary technical expert for our operational maintenance staff, offering continuous engineering assistance for HVAC systems, mechanical components, and MEP systems. Address and resolve technical challenges and questions raised by the maintenance teams promptly and effectively.
Take a proactive approach to identify potential issues within HVAC, mechanical and MEP systems, working to establish preventive maintenance strategies that reduce the need for reactive maintenance. Collaborate with maintenance personnel to implement preventive maintenance schedules and practices.
Maintain an organized repository of technical documentation and manuals related to HVAC systems, mechanical components, and MEP systems, ensuring maintenance staff have easy access to crucial information. Promote knowledge sharing and best practices among maintenance teams to enhance operational efficiency and reduce rework.
Conduct thorough root-cause analyses for recurring maintenance issues or system failures within HVAC, mechanical, and MEP systems with a focus on finding permanent solutions to prevent future occurrences. Collaborate closely with maintenance staff to implement corrective actions and continuous improvements.
Provide valuable input and feedback on major MEP system renovations and capital projects, ensuring engineering and maintenance perspectives are incorporated into the planning and execution phases.
Collaborate with project teams to optimize MEP system designs for long-term efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
