IT Enterprise Backup and Storage Expert

With a smart blend of bold thinking and reliable execution, we’re able to fast-track innovation through each step of your value chain.</p> <p>We are strategically positioned to build value, with global footprint across 30 countries.We are as global and local as you need us to be, with strong best-in-class pan-European technological centres and unique best-shoring capabilities.</p> <p>We leverage a network of high value-adding affiliates in consulting and industrial excellence, and leading partners across multiple sectors to provide you with the most comprehensive services and solutions in an ever-changing environment.</p> <h2>Responsibilities</h2> <p> Backup Appliances Management:</p> <p>- Design, implement, and manage backup infrastructure across the enterprise.</p> <p>- Install and configure backup solutions using Commvault or Veeam, ensuring comprehensive backup coverage for all systems, applications, and databases.</p> <p>- Develop and maintain global backup policies, ensuring consistency, security, and compliance with data retention requirements.</p> <p>- Regularly monitor backup performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure successful backup operations across the enterprise.</p> <p>- Work with business units to identify and support critical data backup requirements.</p> <p>- Automate backup processes and provide periodic reporting and performance metrics.</p> <p> </p> <p>Enterprise Storage Appliances Management:</p> <p>- Install, configure, and manage enterprise storage appliances, including NetApp, Dell EMC, and Nutanix systems.</p> <p>- Ensure high availability and scalability for storage environments across the enterprise.</p> <p>- Manage data replication and snapshot technologies to support disaster recovery and business continuity.</p> <p>- Design and implement storage solutions that align with the organization’s needs for performance, availability, and cost efficiency.</p> <p>- Develop, implement, and regularly test disaster recovery plans for storage systems, ensuring the availability of data in the event of failure.</p> <p>- Monitor storage usage and capacity and provide forecasts for future storage requirements.</p> <p> </p> <p>High Availability and Disaster Recovery:</p> <p>- Design and implement high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions for both backup and storage systems.</p> <p>- Ensure the backup and storage environments meet enterprise recovery point objectives (RPO) and recovery time objectives (RTO).</p> <p>- Regularly test failover and failback procedures to ensure minimal downtime in the event of a disaster.</p> <p>- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of backup and storage solutions with existing enterprise infrastructure.</p> <p> </p> <p>Policy and Process Development:</p> <p>- Develop and enforce data protection policies in alignment with regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).</p> <p>- Work with compliance teams to ensure backup and storage solutions meet internal and external audit requirements.</p> <p>- Continuously review and optimize backup and storage processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance data protection.</p> <p> </p> <p>Cross-Department Collaboration:</p> <p>- Collaborate with other IT departments to ensure seamless backup and storage integration with other enterprise systems (e.g., databases, virtual environments, cloud).</p> <p>- Work with development and operations teams to understand backup requirements for new systems or projects and implement solutions accordingly.</p> <h2>Essential skills</h2> <p>- At least 5 years' experience in a similar role;- Experience in configuring and managing corporate backup devices with Commvault and/or Veeam technologies;- Experience with scripts, such as PowerShell, Python or Bash;- Experience with enterprise storage solutions, including NetApp, Dell EMC and Nutanix;- Good knowledge of English.</p>
