Job Description

We are hiring a Senior Staff Technical Program Manager to join our factory team, focused on the production of our iron-air battery systems. In this role, you will be the key point of direction, defining, and advocating for the tools and metrics that streamline communications and optimize manufacturing operations. You will leverage your technical depth in new product introduction (NPI) and manufacturing to set the strategic direction for what we build, how many, in what order, and how they are tested—and why. This is a chance to have a direct, hands-on impact on scaling up revolutionary, multi-day energy storage technology.

What You'll Do:

  • Define and drive the strategic New Product Introduction (NPI) plan, including build sequencing and prioritization, linking factory operations to overall program goals.

  • Develop, deploy, and own key factory operations tools and metrics to improve cross-functional communication and operational efficiency on the floor.

  • Lead the planning and execution of New Product Introduction (NPI) or pilot manufacturing processes, ensuring new equipment and processes are developed, qualified, and integrated successfully.

  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to define system-level testing requirements, schedules, and success criteria for both new and existing products.

  • Provide clear technical direction and rationale to factory teams, ensuring alignment on product specifications and quality objectives.

  • Prepare and present clear, concise program status updates and risk mitigation strategies to leadership and multidisciplinary stakeholders.

What You'll Bring:

  • Robust expertise (10+ years) in a manufacturing environment, specifically supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) or pilot manufacturing scale-up

  • Proven ability to define, develop, and implement operational tools and metrics for manufacturing and communication.

  • Expertise in setting product build strategy, sequencing, and prioritization in a dynamic production setting.

  • Practical experience in coordinating complex technical requirements for product testing and verification on the factory floor.

  • Commitment to the core value of Excellence by breaking down problems to their root cause and driving continuous improvement in processes.

  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to all levels of the organization.

Where you'll work:

This role is based at Form Factory 1 in Weirton, WV—an easy commute from the city of Pittsburgh, PA. This 550,000-square-foot facility is our hub for high-volume battery production and a leader in the new era of American energy manufacturing. Relocation assistance is available.
