Job Description
Civil Engineering Project Manager
AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineering Project Manager for an exciting opportunity in Savannah, Georgia. This role involves overseeing a complex infrastructure program for the Georgia Ports Authority, which is one of the largest and fastest-growing ports in North America. Additionally, the project manager will support various port and marine clients in the southeast region. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in project management, design, and analysis for civil engineering and site development projects. A hybrid work environment is available for this position.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage all project phases including project administration, project financial/controls, scheduling, cost control, client satisfaction, safety, and quality
- Operates under the direction of Senior Program Manager
- Manages moderately complex projects, self-performs elements of project planning and design, and leads engineering teams and technicians to develop civil infrastructure design plans and site development projects
- May supervise senior-level engineers
- Engineer of Record on civil engineering projects
- Oversee engineers and technicians to ensure quality design and analysis work consistent with government policies and guidelines
- Develop a strong relationships with client(s)
- Participate in client and permit application meetings as part of design projects
Qualifications
Minimum:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Six plus years of experience designing civil engineering projects and site development projects
Preferred:
- Georgia PE or ability to obtain through reciprocity in 6 months
- Experience in design and construction practices
- Experience in engineering principles and practices in broad areas, such as stormwater, roadway geometric design, utilities, infrastructure, earthwork, and streetscape
- Experience scoping/estimating complex civil infrastructure projects
- Experience tracking and managing project budgets and schedules
- Experience leading and training entry-level engineers.
- Computer skills using a spreadsheet and standard office software
- Proficient in technical analysis software
- Valid driver's license and good driving record
- Current holder of, or have no restrictions to obtain, Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
