Job Title: Business Processes Principal Consultant 

Location: Tempe, AZ

Purpose and Objective:   

SAP Industries, Inc. seeks a Business Processes Principal Consultant at our Tempe, AZ location to drive business consulting by translating the customer’s vision into solutions.  

 

Expectations and Tasks:  

Map business processes to solution requirements. Provide customers key insight and direction related to industry trends, best practices, and world-class solutions. Key member of the SAP Oil and Gas Practice. Utilize knowledge of SAP IS-Oil Solutions, industry expertise (i.e. SAP UOM, SAP PRA and SAP JVA), and product/business experience across multiple SAP solution areas (i.e. Tax and Royalty, Check Write, Production and Contract Allocation, Ownership, Revenue and Valuation, Joint Venture Accounting, etc.). Drive change management to achieve business transformation objectives. Support end-to-end solution design and configuration across all relevant solutions (on-premise, cloud and hybrid), applying state-of-the-art methodologies and standards. Plan transitions of customer solution landscapes. Support pre-sales activities. Perform solution reviews and feasibility studies. Occasionally assume responsibility as a (sub-) project lead or team lead for a service delivery. Support line manager(s) in people development tasks. Deliver customer workshops and trainings. Support in partner-led projects to ensure ecosystem and customer success. Introduce SAP and industry leading practices for complex business requirements based on experience. Drive the creation of templates, common practices and supporting service delivery artifacts in order to optimize business processes. Mentor business process consultants.  

 

Education and Occupational Experience:  

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Business Administration, or a related field of study and seven (7) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively, a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Business Administration, or a related field of study and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. 

 

Qualifications/Skills and Competencies Experience:  

Experience must involve five (5) years in the following: 

• Enforce Oil & Gas industry service-offerings with SAP S/4HANA, SAP UHAM, SAP JVA, SAP PSA Solutions, SAP TSW, SAP PM, or SAP PS;  

• Detailed design of Customer Processes utilizing SAP S/4HANA, SAP UHAM /SAP UOM, SAP JVA, or SAP PSA Solutions; 

• Provide software proposals of SAP and non-SAP products; 

• Process, Application, and IT-landscape based on Business blueprints for Upstream Oil & Gas production; 

• Upstream Oil & Gas Revenue accounting systems; and 

• Upstream Oil & Gas Joint Interest or Venture accounting systems. 

 

Travel: Position requires up to 100% domestic travel to various and unanticipated customer sites nationwide.
