Senior Developer Relations Advocate
GleanAbout the role
About Glean:
Founded in 2019, Glean is an innovative AI-powered knowledge management platform designed to help organizations quickly find, organize, and share information across their teams. By integrating seamlessly with tools like Google Drive, Slack, and Microsoft Teams, Glean ensures employees can access the right knowledge at the right time, boosting productivity and collaboration. The company’s cutting-edge AI technology simplifies knowledge discovery, making it faster and more efficient for teams to leverage their collective intelligence.
Glean was born from Founder & CEO Arvind Jain’s deep understanding of the challenges employees face in finding and understanding information at work. Seeing firsthand how fragmented knowledge and sprawling SaaS tools made it difficult to stay productive, he set out to build a better way - an AI-powered enterprise search platform that helps people quickly and intuitively access the information they need. Since then, Glean has evolved into the leading Work AI platform, combining enterprise-grade search, an AI assistant, and powerful application- and agent-building capabilities to fundamentally redefine how employees work.
About the Role:
Glean is looking for a Senior Developer Advocate to help engineers build customer-facing AI chatbots, agents, and search applications. You’ll work closely with customers to implement Glean’s APIs and SDKs, then translate those real-world learnings into best practices for the broader AI engineering community.
At Glean, we believe agents will be built across a range of applications and frameworks—and wherever they’re built, they need to be grounded in enterprise data. That’s why we take an open, interoperable approach to Work AI. In this role, you’ll help define and communicate that vision. You’ll prototype and teach agent development using popular frameworks like OpenAI, Google ADK, LangChain, and others, giving engineers the tools and guidance to build with confidence.
We’re looking for someone who has both built and grown developer communities and worked hands-on with LLMs and agent frameworks. You’ll play a key role in educating the market: crafting messaging that resonates, producing deep technical guides, and publishing thought leadership that defines how enterprise agents are built.
You will:
- Develop and lead the strategy to grow a vibrant community of engineers building on Glean whether through our APIs and SDKs or popular frameworks like OpenAI, Google ADK, LangChain, and more.
- Embed deeply in the AI engineering ecosystem: build relationships, share our perspective on agent interoperability, and help drive forward an open, connected approach to agent development.
- Bring our perspective and technology into the wider AI community through compelling real-world demos, conference talks, meetups, forums, and customer hackathons.
- Cultivate strong relationships with engineers, technical leaders, and power users, turning their feedback into product insights and strengthening trust and engagement with the Glean platform.
- Partner with product, engineering and research teams—translating developer and customer feedback into platform roadmaps, prioritizing features, and championing “voice of the customer” internally.
- Support engineers in onboarding to Glean’s APIs and SDKs by creating high-quality resources: code samples, documentation, tutorials, how-to guides, and blog posts that empower them to build agents grounded in enterprise data.
About you:
- 4+ years of experience in developer relations, with a strong track record of building developer communities from the ground up. You should also have hands-on experience as an engineer.
- Well connected to the AI engineering ecosystem with a strong instinct for where the community is headed, and the ability to ensure that what we’re building and sharing resonates with real-world customers working with data and AI.
- Deep insight into how engineers think and work—skilled at reaching them through the right channels, fostering genuine product affinity, and designing education programs that drive real adoption.
- Empathetic to the engineering experience, with a strategic mindset. You understand how engagement translates into impact and adoption.
- Strong technical skills. You can code your own demos, evaluate code quality, and provide actionable technical feedback.
- Technically credible. You’re able to grasp complex concepts quickly and explain them clearly to a range of audiences, from individual engineers to enterprise leaders.
- Deep passion for AI, developer tools, and the new landscape of agent development.
- Exceptional communicator a
