About you and this role
The External & Corporate Reporting team has an exciting and challenging opportunity for an Accounting Manager, located in Midland, Michigan. This position is a member of the Corporate Reporting team providing financial reporting and analysis to senior management. The Accounting Manager is responsible for ensuring accurate, transparent and comparable financial information is delivered in a timely manner to internal customers as well as provide analysis of financial results to support regulatory filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The incumbent will work closely with business and functional finance personnel as well as senior management. This role requires excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills. The incumbent will be required to respond quickly to requests from senior management.
Responsibilities
- Monthly and quarterly reporting included but not limited to Sales, Operating EBIT, Operating EBITDA, ROC, and Operating Income Statement
- Quarterly EBIT reconciliation
- Lead monthly estimate and annual Profit Plan processes
- Lead for the quarterly Corporate White Book reporting deliverable
- Assist with preparation of segment results in Management’s Discussion & Analysis in 10-K/10-Q filings
- Preparation and review of other financial data used to support Dow’s SEC filings – 10-Q, 10-K and Earnings Release
- Ensure accurate and timely financial information is delivered to internal customers for use in senior management meetings and external shareholder materials
- Review of deliverables prepared by other members of the Corporate Reporting team
- Analysis and explanation of financial results
- Focal point for various ad hoc reporting requests and special projects as applicable within the Corporate Reporting team
Qualifications
- A minimum of Bachelor’s degree is required
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
Preferred Skills
- A degree discipline in Accounting or Finance is preferred
