As a Security Officer Screening Compliance Monitor in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will use screening procedures to help identify prohibited items, monitor access points, and support a secure environment for employees, visitors, and operations. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly, and remain a visible presence to help deter incidents. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security-related screening procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and permitted items entering designated areas using assigned screening equipment and established procedures.
• Verify credentials and access authorization for individuals entering restricted operational, sorting, and distribution areas; document and report discrepancies according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, prohibited-item findings, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, access points, business operations, and perimeter locations; document observations and report security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
