We are seeking a General Manager at our Proctor Division, located in Proctor, WV. This position will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while overseeing the division’s day-to-day operations, including but not limited to, retention, safety, compliance, efficiency, and profitability.

What You Will Do:

Customer Service and Sales:

• Ensure the division delivers top-notch customer service in accordance with the company’s core philosophy, “If it’s service, it’s us”.
• Work in conjunction with the Director of Sales in creating and establishing marketing plans and objectives.
• Ensure all company employees properly represent the company.
• Grow the division through seeking and obtaining new business as well as continued retention of current customers.
• Act as liaison to all customers, municipalities and districts serviced.

Operations:

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the division.
• Plan and control operations to meet or exceed daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly operational goals.
• Complete all required reporting accurately and in a timely manner.
• Strive to meet 100% environmental compliance and 100% DOT compliance standards.
• Work to ensure the safety of all employees and visitors and meet all OSHA standards.
• Oversee all equipment and maintenance needs.
• Keep facilities maintained in accordance with company standards.
• Maintain adequate staffing to service all accounts in an efficient manner, inclusive of hiring, training, and developing employees.
• Review and approve all purchases for the division.
• Meet all company policies and procedures, and ensure all local, state, and federal regulations are strictly followed.

Accounting:

• Implement and adhere to the operational and financial plan of the division.
• Meet the monthly budget. 
• Oversee each line of business for profitability.
• Partner with corporate departments to assist with  accounts receivable, collections, and billing.
• Complete timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and yearly reporting as required by the corporate accounting department.
   

You Have:

• Five (5) years of leadership and management experience 
• Bachelor’s degree in management or other related field required
• CDL highly preferred
• Experience in transportation or adjacent industry a plus
• Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills and strong interpersonal skills.
• Must be organized and motivated to succeed with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Strong skills related to Microsoft Office software products
