Job Summary

The Accounting Manager will lead the financial operations of a holding company with multiple subsidiaries, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and efficient financial processes. This role is responsible for overseeing the consolidation of financial statements across multiple entities, managing P&L performance at the subsidiary level, and developing robust financial models to support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate has extensive experience managing complex financial structures, strong proficiency with accounting systems (including QuickBooks), and the ability to drive efficiencies through financial data analytics.  This position requires a hands-on leader who can both strategize and execute, ensuring all financial processes meet the needs of a growing and dynamic organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the financial operations of a holding company with multiple subsidiaries, ensuring accurate consolidation of financial statements
• Monitor and analyze subsidiary P&L performance, providing insights and actionable recommendations to leadership
• Lead the monthly financial close process across all entities, ensuring proper recording of transactions, timely journal entries, reconciliations, and preparation of internal and external reports
• Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning across the enterprise
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies
• Collaborate with external auditors to support annual audits and ensure successful outcomes
• Evaluate and implement process improvements and system enhancements and transitions
• Maintain accuracy and integrity of the general ledger, including hierarchy and scalability of the chart of accounts
• Drive strategic financial initiatives and support the executive team with financial planning and decision-making
• Provide detailed variance analysis against budget and forecast to guide financial performance
• Prepare cash flow projections and manage liquidity planning for the organization
• Assist in the preparation of tax documents and filings in collaboration with tax professionals
• Create accounting policies, procedures, and systems for scalability and compliance accounting policies, procedures, and systems for scalability and compliance

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
•  Experience managing budgets ranging from $50M to $100M
• Proven experience overseeing financial operations and P&L for subsidiary companies
• Demonstrated experience consolidating financial statements across multiple entities
• Strong background in financial modeling and analysis
• Proficient in QuickBooks and other accounting software
• Skilled in leveraging data analytics tools to improve financial insights and reporting
• Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement
• High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
