Job Title: School of Family Life - Adjunct Teaching SFL 460: Advanced Family Processes

Position Start Date:  18 August 2025

Required Degree: A Master's or PhD in Human Development, Family Studies, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field.

The required degree must be completed by the start date.

Experience: 

  • Teaching experience at the university level in Human Development, Family Studies, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field is preferred.
  • Preference will be given to applicants who have taught classes at the university level in the past. 

Duties/Expectations: 

Successful applicants will teach a 3-credit, term or semester class on Advanced Family Processes to about 40 undergraduate students in the School of Family Life.

By the end of the semester, students in this class should be able to: 

  • Develop an understanding of advanced family and relationship processes;
  • Gain a practical and scholarly experience in how advanced family and relationship processes can influence them and their relationships;
  • Be able to apply advanced family and relationship processes in practical situations.

The class will be held in person on MW from 12:30-1:45pm, during Fall Semester 2025.

This position requires the successful candidate to relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of their employment.
