Riley Outpatient Center – Pediatric Orthopedic Department

Position Summary:
Indiana University Health is seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our Pediatric Orthopedic team at Riley Hospital for Children. This vital role supports physicians, advanced practice providers, and both clinical and non-clinical team members. You’ll also serve as a key point of contact for patients and families, helping to ensure a seamless and compassionate care experience.

As an Administrative Assistant, you’ll be part of a team of highly skilled medical professionals dedicated to delivering preeminent care and service to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support multiple providers and team members in a fast-paced environment.

  • Manage calendars and schedules for physicians, APPs, and leadership.

  • Prepare reports and presentations, including data collection and formatting.

  • Act as a liaison for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Coordinate special projects, meetings, and events.

  • Manage inventory and supply ordering.

  • Assist with patient communications (e.g., no-show letters, reminders).

  • Schedule and reschedule patient appointments.

  • Provide cross-coverage for the call center and clinic front desk as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • 0–3+ years of relevant experience; administrative experience preferred.

  • Experience in a matrix organization or complex work environment is a plus.

  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
