Plumber

Environmental Air Systems, a full-service mechanical contractor, is seeking skilled Plumbers to join our manufacturing shop in High Point, North Carolina. This position is available on first shift.

Schedule: 6:00am-4:30pm with OT as necessary

Location: 250 Swathmore Ave, High Point, NC 27263

Responsibilities:

• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, fixtures, and equipment, including pipes, valves, and water heaters 
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and installation requirements for plumbing systems 
• Measure, cut, thread, bend, and solder pipes using hand tools and equipment, ensuring proper fit and alignment 
• Install and connect plumbing fixtures and appliances following established codes and standards 
• Inspect plumbing systems and components for leaks, blockages, or other issues, and perform troubleshooting and diagnostic tests as needed 
• Repair or replace damaged or malfunctioning plumbing fixtures, pipes, valves, and fittings using appropriate tools and materials 
• Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as electricians, HVAC technicians, and carpenters, to coordinate installation and repair activities as needed 
• Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others 

Education Requirements/Qualifications:

• Minimum of a high school education or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a plumber, with a strong understanding of plumbing systems, codes, and standards
• Speaking and reading proficiency in either English or Spanish required

Job Requirements/Special Skills:

• Proficiency in reading blueprints, drawings, and specifications 
• Excellent plumbing skills, including pipe fitting, soldering, brazing, and threading 
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities 
• Attention to detail and accuracy in installation and repair work 
• Ability to work independently and on a team
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand and work for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to work in conditions of varying heat and cold where noise levels are at or above 90 decibels
