About the role

Position Overview:
As a Senior Business Analyst / Scrum Master, you will play a dual role in bridging business needs with innovative software solutions while driving agile project delivery. Your expertise will help define and deliver business requirements, foster collaboration among stakeholders, and ensure the successful implementation of software solutions. Additionally, you will facilitate agile practices, promote quality assurance, and ensure seamless collaboration across remote and offshore teams. While Salesforce experience is an asset, it is not mandatory for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirement Gathering and Analysis:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders, product owners, and cross-functional teams to understand and address business needs and challenges.

  • Lead requirement elicitation through interviews, workshops, and other techniques, transforming them into functional specifications and prioritized user stories.

  • Analyze and validate business requirements to identify gaps, opportunities, and risks.

  • Work with technical teams to design and deliver software solutions aligned with business objectives.

Agile Facilitation and Scrum Practices:

  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

  • Promote team accountability, removing impediments to ensure successful sprint delivery.

  • Track sprint progress and monitor metrics such as velocity and burndown.

  • Advocate for agile principles and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Quality Assurance and Testing:

  • Collaborate with QA teams to develop test strategies, define test cases, and ensure thorough testing of software solutions.

  • Participate in testing phases, including functional, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

  • Identify, document, and assist in resolving defects or issues encountered during testing.

Documentation and Communication:

  • Prepare user-friendly documentation, including functional specifications, process diagrams, and use cases.

  • Act as a liaison between stakeholders and technical teams to ensure alignment and mutual understanding.

  • Maintain and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business goals.

Change Management and Training:

  • Assess and manage the impact of software changes on business processes and stakeholders.

  • Facilitate user training and change management initiatives to drive the successful adoption of new software solutions.

Collaboration Across Teams:

  • Foster effective collaboration with remote and offshore teams, ensuring alignment and productivity across time zones.

  • Leverage tools and techniques to streamline communication and maintain consistent delivery standards.

  • Address challenges specific to remote and offshore collaboration, such as cultural differences and varying work schedules.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Scrum Master, CBAP, CCBA) are a plus.

Experience:

  • 2 – 4 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Scrum Master in software development or IT environments.

  • Experience with agile methodologies and Scrum practices is required.

  • Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Confluence, or other agile project management tools.

  • Experience collaborating with remote and offshore teams is highly desirable.

  • Exposure to CRM platforms such as Salesforce is a plus.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

  • Solid understanding of software testing processes and methodologies, with experience supporting QA activities.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly.

  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • A proactive and collaborative mindset with a focus on driving team success.

  • Willingness to travel occasionally for on-site stakeholder interactions.
