The Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) organization is seeking a Manufacturing Manager to join their teams in Tukwila, WA and Seattle, WA. 

This opening will be on 2nd Shift and will involve leading a team in Tukwila supporting both the Aero Test Lab & Propulsion, Vibration, Noise Labs.  You will also be leading a team in Seattle supporting the 2-10 Machine Shop.  This is an exciting opportunity to manage, develop, and motivate a high-performing team of Machinists supporting both Lab Test and Flight Test operations.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees performing activities in multiple manufacturing disciplines

  • Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies

  • Acquires resources, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports

  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes

  • Manages, develops, and motivates employees

  • Oversight and ownership to Zero injury and First Time Quality culture

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Tukwila, WA and Seattle, WA. 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ year of experience in a manufacturing environment

  • 3+ years of experience working with collective bargaining agreements and an hourly union-represented workforce

  • 1+ years of experience using software applications for internet navigation, email, Microsoft Suite and/or other specialized computer applications

  • Experience demonstrating leadership skills (informal or formal)

  • Able to work flexible hours, overtime and occasional weekends when necessary

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience in a leadership role, leading teams or projects to successful completion

  • Experience managing Key Performance Indicators within Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Manufacturing data

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a business or technical field

  • Familiarity with project management best practices

  • Familiarity with Lab Test and/or Flight Test Operations

Shift:
