Job Description

The person in this position is expected to communicate clearly and courteously; to develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, consultants, collaborators, co-workers, field sites, and funders; and to work respectfully with EDC colleagues. The job requires adherence to EDC policies & procedures.  Since this job sits within the business development function of the International Division, it requires an ability to successfully manage the pressure of multiple simultaneous deadlines, excellent attention to detail and the ability to remain organized and track multiple documents and deliverables, potentially in multiple languages and countries.

Under close supervision, the International Project Coordinator for Recruitment provides support including:

  • Maintaining a job description database and updating as needed
  • Opening and closing jobs on the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), posting and removing job advertisements from job boards and various professional websites, and sending notices through the ATS to unsuccessful applicants for proposal and field office recruitment
  • Training project staff on the use of the ATS
  • Uploading miscellaneous candidate and staff CVs/resumes to the ATS
  • Assisting with pre-screening and short-listing priority candidates, ensuring compliance with all employment specifications
  • Scheduling and participating in interviews (as needed), with the objective of enhancing candidate experience and ensuring legal compliance
  • Collecting from candidates all required staffing documentation, ensuring compliance with funder specifications (including letters of commitment, lists of references, due diligence and vetting forms, and other proposal/project documents)
  • Performing and documenting candidate reference checks
  • Formatting candidate CVs/resumes to address qualifications required for roles specified in proposals, and providing other writing inputs to proposals (i.e. staffing plans, personnel descriptions, etc.), as requested
  • Assisting proposal teams in developing skills matrices and job postings in accordance with RFP/RFA requirements
  • Completing post-award handover checklists
  • Attending industry and technical career fairs and conferences to promote EDC and to deepen candidate pipeline and rosters
  • Assisting with coordination of project recruiting for new and existing positions
  • Maintaining records and providing administrative support where needed, including filing, scanning, copying, and collating, etc.
  • Act as recruitment point of contact on proposals in the absence of the Senior Advisor for International Talent, and respond to inquiries from both internal and external clients.
  • Drafting, formatting, proofreading, and translating recruitment and hiring materials
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

The candidate for the position of International Project Coordinator I for Recruitment shall have at a minimum the following qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Master’s degree or equivalent combination of training & education in a related field preferred.

Skills and Experience:

This position requires educational achievement; excellent writing skills; demonstrable initiative, creativity, and flexibility; ability to work independently and effectively in groups; and strong interpersonal & organizational skills.

Specific requirements:

  • 2 – 4 years of related experience (i.e., human resources, business, international development or administrative coordination, etc.)
  • Prior experience with applicant tracking systems preferred
