Within the Scooter’s Coffee brand sits Harvest Roasting, which includes our warehouse, bakery, and roastery. Harvest Roasting serves as the supplier to all of our coffeehouse locations, including corporate and franchise owned, providing weekly product deliveries of the vast majority of products needed for daily business. For us, the focus is on quality; therefore, we handle all the roasting, shipping, baking, and packaging within Harvest Roasting.

LOCATION

This position is a 100% in person role. The successful candidate will be expected to work in person on all scheduled work days and must reside in Omaha, NE.

DESCRIPTION

Did you know that Scooter’s Coffee roasts our coffee beans and bakes our baked goods for our stores in our manufacturing facility at our headquarters in Omaha, NE? We are looking for a Packaging Associate to work in our roasting and packaging department. The Packaging Associate provides support where needed in the roasting and packaging department to ensure consistent product preparation and order fulfillment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for flavoring and grinding of roasted coffee packaging equipment
• Operate and maintain coffee equipment
• Operate and/ or monitor multiple pieces of equipment during operation to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops
• Perform routine inspections of coffee production equipment
• Perform quality control, follow reporting and recordkeeping procedures, and report problems to supervisor
• Operate forklift or successfully complete forklift training upon hire
• Able to work at elevated heights
• Consistently package all products according to recipe and company standards
• Clean and sanitize workstation and equipment according to schedule
• Follow and enforce procedures outlined in safety plan
• Adhere to all safety standards and wear all required safety equipment
• Rotate though different work areas as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

• 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing/ production environment
• Strong desire to learn and grow with the company
• Mechanical aptitude strongly preferred
• Works well individually as well as in a team
• Positive attitude
• Commitment to safety
