Summary of Responsibilities: Responsible for triaging patient telephone calls and following up on and prioritizing tasks, identifying issues that require technician/physician assistance and documenting all actions taken.
Answer or respond to patient calls and/or triage calls accordingly
•
Chart all calls, refills, and faxes, into EHR accordingly
•
Creates and maintains standing orders
•
Maintain work log so that all non-urgent messages are answered within 2 hours of receipt
•
Document all steps taken in work log to guarantee efficiency
•
Schedule work-in patient appointments as necessary to call center
•
Answers calls in a prompt, professional and polite manner
•
Responds quickly and correctly to routine requests for information
•
Always Maintains patient confidentiality
•
Cooperates and communicates with all departments
•
Must have clinical knowledge to ensure right action is taken for calls
•
Phone in or fax prescription pre-certs as directed by Lead Tech or Manager/Clinical Director
•
Supports site in clinical information retrieval
•
Ability to write, speak, and understand English fluently
•
Take care of ERX failures (or like system items) in the computer
•
Triage all work in’s and walk in’s and work closely with the Supervisor of where they should be placed
•
Assist all patients with questions regarding RX or request for refills, samples, or written prescriptions
Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing.

Clinical Services experience highly desirable

•
Ability to be proficient using all currently utilized technology
