Role Overview:

The Site Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of the manufacturing facility including EH&S, Quality, Production, Maintenance, and Logistics.   The Site Manager must ensure that quality product is made with a focus on safety, environmental compliance, and efficiency.

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Leads the coordination of all activities and programs related to the production of concrete admixture products to ensure timely processing and shipment of customer orders within quality and cost standards.
  • Leads the development of process standards, operating procedures, diagrams, training materials, and job aids as required to properly document and coordinate operations. Leads the development of new manufacturing processes, fixtures, equipment, or tooling. Interfaces with production of activities associated with new process or process improvement. Ensures that products meet the desired quality specifications and attributes.
  • Develops and implements operating methods and procedures designed to improve operating efficiencies and product quality, within established operating guidelines.
  • Directs implementation of an effective maintenance program for equipment and plant facilities to minimize downtime.
  • Responsible for the selection and placement of qualified personnel, under the direction of Human Resources.
  • Recommends goals, objectives, and budgets for assigned plant in support of Corporate and Business goals, and monitors performance to assure attainment.
  • To ensure that his/her employees are appropriately qualified and have sufficient resources, skills, and training to fulfill their responsibilities.
  • Establish and monitor measurable EHS objectives including process safety, employee training, emergency response and awareness programs as part of a continuous improvement process identified and conform to applicable policy and regulations.
  • Maintain effective selection and control of contractors by establishing criteria to knowledge, skill, and behavior.
  • Must understand and follow all quality initiatives and processes for ISO 9001 and other quality standards.
  • Participate in capital investment planning and the implementation for the overall asset strategy.
  • Lead with a mindset of continuous improvement and operational excellence
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Industrial Management or relevant discipline with minimum three years of hands-on Supervisory experience in Operations and/or Plant Engineering/Maintenance support. OR High School Diploma with minimum 10 years of progressive supervisory experience in Operations and/or Plant Engineering/Maintenance support.
  • Provide continuous improvement leadership to improve in house capabilities, yields and efficiency.
  • Must possess excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office suite).  SAP highly desirable
  • Hands on Lean manufacturing experience highly desirable.
  • Experience in preparing detailed cost benefit analysis reports to support project requests is desirable.
  • Must have a strong working knowledge of Ecology/Health/Safety procedures and standards including Process Safety Management regulations, OSHA standards, EPA regulations, National Fire Code regulations.
  • Proven leadership qualities with strong interpersonal communication skills. Self-driven and able to generate strong results with minimal supervision, in a team-based environment.
