Key Responsibilities

We take great pride in curating exceptional dining experiences that elevate our guests' journeys. As a Restaurant Host, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering flawless service as an integral part of our dining team.

As the first point of contact, your warm greeting will set the stage for our guests' culinary adventure. With genuine sincerity and a welcoming smile, you will ensure they feel valued from the moment they enter our restaurants.

Efficiently managing reservations is key, and you will excel at orchestrating seamless seating arrangements to enhance our guests' experience throughout their cruise. Your attention to detail will ensure smooth coordination of guest movements, leaving no room for anything less than delight.

In bidding farewell, your genuine gratitude will leave an impression. Expressing sincere appreciation as guests conclude their meals, you will ensure they depart with cherished memories and a longing to return.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Waiter/Assistant Waiter/Hostess in a cruise ship, 5-star hotel or restaurant. 
• Eloquently presents menus and has the ability to explain each dish knowledgably, including ingredients, cooking techniques, and wine pairings.   
• Optimize use of restaurant capacity, by using marketing of salient features and building rapport with mariners 
• Improve guest satisfaction with planning special moments for life events, including birthday, anniversaries, and celebrations 
• Basic to Intermediate skills using computerized reservation and/or table management systems is preferred.
• Intermediate to Advanced level English verbal and writing skills, including the proper use of English grammar.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred. 

Requirements

• Proactive, Team Player & Problem Solver with desire to build guest satisfaction 
• Ability to manage varying priorities while managing guest requests 
• All shipboard roles require repetitive motion of walking, standing, bending, and climbing stairs for extended time
• Able to lift more than 25 pounds.  
• All team members must participate in emergency lifesaving procedures and drills.
