This role is ideal for a student pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering who is eager to gain hands-on experience in a practical engineering environment.

This position is onsite, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This role may be eligible for relocation.

What You Will Do:

  • You will support the engineering team by assisting with the design, testing, documentation, and implementation of electrical systems and products.
  • You will assist engineers with circuit design, analysis, and troubleshooting.
  • You will support the development and testing of electrical components, prototypes, and systems and perform data collection, validation, and reporting to support engineering decisions.
  • You will create and update engineering documentation, drawings, and bills of materials.
  • You will help prepare test plans, execute test procedures, and summarize results.
  • You will participate in design reviews, brainstorming sessions, and cross-functional team meetings.

What You Will Learn:

  • You will learn how to apply electrical engineering principles to real-world product design and problem‑solving.
  • You will gain hands-on experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and diagnostic tools.
  • You will learn the fundamentals of circuit analysis, debugging techniques, and test execution.
  • You will learn how to create, read, and revise electrical schematics, drawings, and documentation and gain exposure to industry tools such as schematic capture, simulation software, and data‑logging tools.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience with embedded systems, programming, or PCB layout.
  • Previous internship or relevant project experience.
