IT Service Management Intern

 Job Summary

We are seeking a hands-on, technically inclined intern to support enterprise automation and AI initiatives using the ServiceNow platform. This internship offers immersive learning across intelligent ITSM, virtual agent development, mobile and web portal development, and agentic AI solutions. The intern will gain practical experience in improving IT Service Delivery and Order management using Automation.    

What Will You Learn 

• How ServiceNow is used in large enterprises for ITSM and workflow automation   
• How to design and build apps using ServiceNow App Engine (low-code/no-code tools)       
• How to build and configure ServiceNow Virtual Agent for self-service user experiences       
• How to integrate with Agentic AI Framework to enhance platform intelligence       
• How to develop mobile apps and web portals integrated with enterprise systems   

Responsibilities (Specific tasks, duties, essential functions of the job)       

• Configure workflows, forms, and logic in ServiceNow using visual designers and scripting       
• Build automations for incidents, requests, and change management       
• Implement scripting logic and support platform integrations       
• Design autonomous workflows and assistants for task automation       
• Build mobile apps using ServiceNow Mobile Platform       
• Design and develop responsive web portals on ServiceNow       
• Implement backend workflows and security best practices  

Qualifications (Experience and Education)

•        
• Enrolled in a bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or related field
•        
• Academic or project exposure to ServiceNow, Salesforce or similar tools
•        
• Knowledge of JavaScript, with understanding of functions, loops, conditions, and event handling
•        
• Familiarity with client-side and server-side scripting concepts (e.g., UI Policies, Business Rules, Script Includes)
•        
• Knowledge of PowerShell, Python, or Flow Designer expressions for automation use cases
•        
• Good understanding of REST APIs and how to consume or test API calls (e.g., using Postman or within ServiceNow integration modules)
•        
• Exposure to JSON data structures, web concepts like HTML/CSS, or platform-specific markup (e.g., GlideRecord) is a plus
•        
• Knowledge of writing code to automate manual work using programming languages mentioned above, or automation through macros (VB etc.)
•        
• Eager to learn how AI and automation can improve business engagement workflows
