Role Summary
Raytheon is seeking a procurement professional to review and negotiate terms and conditions and recommend final Raytheon position to Subject Matter Expert and/or Supply Chain Advisor and Office of General Counsel. Some travel may be required.
What You Will Do:
- Perform procurement and supplier management activities in support of U.S. Government and Commercial contracts.
- Place purchase orders of medium complexity and medium volume. Support on less and more complex work will be required at times as well.
- Utilize source selection techniques, compile, and analyze data to perform price analyses, conduct negotiations (including terms and conditions), and identify supplier risks, with guidance as needed.
- Ensure that requirements (prime contract, quality, terms and conditions) are properly communicated to suppliers and manage supplier performance to cost, schedule, and quality requirements.
- Work cross functionally with engineering, quality, and program management along with other key functional groups to ensure program needs are met by resolving obstacles that require ingenuity, creativity, and innovation.
- Monitor procurement reports and help drive performance to meet company metric targets.
- Communicate clearly and be proactive in a fast-paced environment. Be flexible, innovative, work with speed and agility yet be thorough and compliant with government and Raytheon regulations, while successfully driving tasks to completion.
- Assist in the training of peer procurement professionals as needed.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
- Minimum of 7 years relevant experience in procurement/buying role.
- Ability to multi-task and perform in a dynamic, fast paced, changing environment
- Experience conducting formal negotiations (price, schedule and supplier exceptions to contractual requirements).
- Experience placing a PO of medium to high complexity and processing a high volume of POs across various programs within the business unit
- Experience communicating effectively both verbally and in writing with internal customers and suppliers.
- Must be able to handle multiple decisions based on workload dispersion, program priorities, and program directions
- Proficiency to perform and comprehend price analyses, source selection/justification, with guidance as needed
- Experience assimilating new information, processes and tools.

Qualifications We Prefer:
- Experience using standard computer systems focused on supplier management processes (SAP-PRISM)
- Ability to filter information from multiple sources to drive innovative solutions
- Experience working with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Raytheon tools, as well as knowledge of supply chain processes
- Knowledge of reading drawings.
- DoD procurement experience and knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (FAR/DFARS)
