Penobscot Community Health Care is seeking a BC/BE Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with special interest in the field of Rheumatology to practice under the guidance of an experienced, board-certified Rheumatologist in an outpatient primary care setting. This is an opportunity to join PCHC’s flagship practice, PCHCenter, on our main healthcare campus in Bangor, Maine and receive specialized training in the diagnosis and management of rheumatic diseases in the context of an integrated, primary care practice. Help develop a new service line that will help increase access to much-needed Rheumatology services locally!
The successful candidate must have an interest in rheumatology and a commitment to pursuing specialized training. This is an excellent opportunity for professional development – experience in primary care clinical practice is strongly desired but new graduates are also encouraged to inquire. The successful candidate must be adaptive and comfortable navigating a developing clinical environment. The ability to embrace change, and learn new clinical protocols, procedures and techniques is critical. The position will be full-time 40 hours, Monday – Friday, with some flexibility possible depending on needs. Clinic hours are expected to be between the hours of 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. No call, weekends or evenings are planned. This is part of a developing service line. The successful candidate must be adaptable and able to work collaboratively with a dynamic project team to build something new at PCHC!
