 Position Summary:

 

The primary role of the Finance Manager – Cost Center Control & Analysis is to provide financial partnership to Marketing and Other General Expense (MOGE), Globe ISIT, and Medical Sales (PFME) functions by managing cost center budgets, including variance analysis of actual expense against budget/forecast as well as the development of monthly forecast and the annual plan.

 

This position is responsible for tracking and auditing headcount to ensure alignment with HR partners and the Nestlé Health Science (NHSc) Leadership Team Members.  The Finance Manager supports the finance team with information required in the development of business analytics and financial reports used to support sound decision making in the Active and Medical business.  In addition, this position supports the preparation, analysis, and reconciliation of monthly results to allow tracking of actuals versus the dynamic forecast and targets. The Finance Manager is expected to provide clear and effective reporting of financial results while constantly looking for areas of business optimization, and process improvement.  This role will be hybrid to our Hoboken, NJ Headquarters.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Manages Annual Cost Center Budgeting process, reporting requirements/submissions with cost center owners for NHSc commercial. Consolidates the submissions and performs analytics to ensure integrity of data. Liaises with cost center owners and various to understand key drivers/inhibitors of performance
  • Accountable for tracking actual vs. budget expenses for the responsible department heads in NHSc commercial and provides variance analysis, commentary, and solicits future spending projection for inclusion in forecasts
  • Primary contact for all interactions with Nestlé USA (NUSA) Costing Center of Competence (CCC) regarding OCM (SAP allocation) process
  • Ensures that OCM allocations are properly reflected in the P&L and reconciled
  • Assists in issue resolution related to the allocation process
  • Subject matter expert for allocations to/from NUSA /Nestle Business Center (NBS) and other businesses
  • Creates and distributes timely and accurate monthly reports and scorecards
  • Works with the Global Finance team regarding cost centers that are cross charged
  • Presents summary of actuals versus Dynamic Forecast to the executive team
  • Monitors and records accruals to ensure the P&L properly reflects expenses that have been incurred or should be accrued
  • Continuously improves and re-evaluates accounting and reporting activities to streamline and improve controls and processes
  • Provides insight to management during monthly balance sheet meetings on main drivers of account fluctuations
  • Prepares journal entries to clear reconciling items that need to be reclassed or written-off
  • Leverages Oracle FIT tool to consolidate and submit monthly Dynamic Forecast in accordance with the financial calendar
  • Special projects and ad-hoc requests

 

Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting required, MBA a plus
  • 5-7 years' experience in planning and reporting 
  • Previous experience in Consumer Products and Manufacturing Environment a plus
