The Role:
The Credit Bureau Risk Technical Delivery Manager is a leadership position reporting to the Head of Credit Bureau Reporting, enabling the strategic direction of the end-to-end Credit Bureau program - overall business goals, leverage points, and supporting analysis for CBR/CBD. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accurate and compliant reporting of consumer credit data to credit bureaus. It requires a deep understanding of Credit Bureau Data Furnishing, Dispute Management, Metro2, Credit Reporting Rule Guidance, FCRA, CFPB, Data Stewardship, and proficiency in modern data engineering and analytics tools such as Snowflake, DBT, Python, SQL, and other emerging technologies. The Credit Bureau Risk Technical Delivery Manager oversees strategic and technical aspects of credit data management, analytics, and compliance for in-house and third-party eOscar platforms. Lead the strategic direction of the Credit Bureau Program - overall business goals, leverage points, and supporting analysis for CBR/CBD. This position will leverage ML/AI to drive automation and operational efficiencies and produce business intelligence that enables strategic growth within the credit ecosystem.
An experienced, strategic, and highly collaborative leader will build and drive Credit Bureau Reporting intent, policies, and measurements of success. The role requires financial systems technical expertise, strategic thinking, operational excellence, and a passion for results while managing risk and regulatory obligations. This leader will thrive in a highly entrepreneurial and collaborative environment, with clear objectives but limited or ambiguous direction. You will be a visible leader, championing this new business within SoFi and to new customers while managing regulatory and business risks.
This role is inherently cross-functional—you will work closely with business units across the Enterprise, engineering, design, data science, marketing, operations, finance, risk, legal, compliance, AML, and executive teams to set business objectives, define infrastructure strategy, prioritize strategies and execute on business objectives. You’ll play the critical role of driving value through both growth and operational efficiency strategies.
What you’ll do:
Define Scope & Vision for Credit Bureau policy, data strategy, and infrastructure intent
Influence agenda for automation and tool development
Develop automation for manual tasks through existing or emerging technologies, i.e. ML models,, Python, Javascript, RPA bots
Utilize development languages like Python, Javascript, & RAR to provide instrumentation, monitoring/alerting, visibility, and key insights into Credit Reporting and Disputes business performance and health
Build and leverage AI/ML to drive automation and strategic growth within the credit ecosystem
Serve as a SoFI key credit reporting and disputes subject matter expert for both internal and external engagements
Engage and align with stakeholders on credit reporting analysis and business unit opportunities
Superior communication skills, written and verbal. Experience presenting to C-level leadership
Own priority of new intent requests and requirements
Own CBR strategy Roadmap and support quarterly planning
Define high level scope and features for both Reporting and Disputes capabilities
Ensure necessary approvals are secured prior to release new intent into production
Stakeholder management and alignment of future initiatives and priorities
Engage with and lead strategic initiatives with the Credit Reporting Agencies and other third parties
Conduct and deliver Credit Bureau Reporting Industry analysis and recommendations
Required Skills:
12+ years in business, data analysis and engineering, and risk management
Proficiency in Python to deliver automation, analysis, metrics and reporting visualizations
