About the role
Carries out occupational therapy treatment plans under the supervision of OTR. Adheres to all policy and procedures of facility and department. Is responsible for maintaining accurate and complete records, daily scheduling, billing, and attending necessary meetings and inservices.
na Qualifications EDUCATION:
Minimum:
• Graduate of an AOTA approved Occupational Therapy Assistant program or equivalent.
LICENSE:
Minimum:
• NYS license with current registration.
PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS:
Minimum:
• BLS Certification required through the RQI system during clinical orientation.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
Minimum:
• New grads accepted.
Preferred:
• One to two years experience.
SKILLS:
Minimum:
• Must be able to travel to multiple locations on any given day as requested.
• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and ability to deal with the public in a professional and courteous manner.
• Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities and enhance the spirit of teamwork through effective role modeling.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and organization skills.
• Computer literacy
Preferred:
• Experience with Microsoft Office products and electronic medical record
