We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Data Analyst to support the Direct Procurement and Supply Chain organization. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in data analysis, statistical modeling, and business intelligence to drive data-informed decision-making across the organization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify trends, develop actionable insights, and support strategic initiatives.
You Will:
- Take charge of digitizing hundreds of Cost Breakdown Data (Excel) into a database using a general-purpose programming language such as Python.
- Analyze complex data sets to identify patterns, trends, and insights for the Direct Procurement team.
- Develop and maintain robust dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders at all levels.
- Collaborate with various departments to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure success.
- Conduct advanced statistical analyses and modeling to support business forecasting and scenario planning.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy by implementing best practices in data management and governance.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership, translating complex analyses into clear, actionable insights.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in data analytics and visualization tools.
You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Data Science, or equivalent experience in a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data analytics, reporting, visualization, Python, etc.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and identify actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated project management abilities, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and allocate resources effectively.
- Ability to deep-dive data from both a top-down and bottom-up approach
- Ability to think strategically and communicate strategies effectively.
- Experience in the Automotive Industry (OEM or Tier 1 Suppliers).
- Experience working in a dynamic/start-up environment is a plus.
- Flexibility in work schedule is required (to include evenings and weekends, as needed)
- Advanced skills in Python or other general-purpose programming language, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Working knowledge of Smartsheet, SAP, JIRA, Tableau, and any costing software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in a relevant field
- Experience with complex analysis and data analytics in a supply chain context
- In-depth understanding of automotive Interior market dynamics and pricing mechanisms
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and make strategic decisions
- Creative problem-solver with calculated risk-taking ability
- Experience in supplier relationship management and dispute resolution
- Knowledge of automotive industry trends and emerging technologies in Interior components
- Cost Engineering experience
- Start-up working experience is a plus
Important:
- The role is full-time onsite Monday-Friday in our Southfield Michigan location and does not offer a remote or hybrid option.
- This role may be required to work in alignment with our west coast office hours, 10:30 am - 7:30 pm EST in the office.
