Key Objectives

Responsibilities
Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies and government programs.
Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits prior to services.
Review and reconcile billing statements, identifying discrepancies and resolving denials.
Maintain accurate patient billing records and documentation.
Communicate with patients regarding billing inquiries and payment plans.
Stay current with industry regulations, coding standards, and billing software updates.
Collaborate with healthcare providers and administrative staff to streamline billing workflows.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Medical Billing Specialist or similar role, preferably within a healthcare or wellness setting.
Strong knowledge of medical billing procedures, insurance claim processes, and coding systems (CPT, ICD-10).
Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) and billing software platforms.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality and professionalism.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
High school diploma or equivalent required; certification in medical billing or coding is preferred.
