Job Description

As a key member of the Payer Contract Analytics team, this individual will be responsible for performing contract data analytics via data driven payer level analysis for AbbVie’s key Payer customer(s) across multiple channels of pharmaceutical businesses such as the Commercial Insurance channel, Medicare and Medicaid Channels. 

The role is a meld of Analytics and Finance, requiring collaboration with cross-functional business partners including Marketing, Finance, field-based Account Managers, and IT. The individual in this role will help to ensure AbbVie has the appropriate pricing and contracting analytics for our current products, as well as future pipeline products.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for performing analytics related to contracting for key products & therapeutic areas (Immunology, Migraine, Antipsychotic, GI, Women’s Health, HCV) to assess qualitative & financial impacts of pharmacy and/or medical contracting with National & Regional payers.
• Provide insights into the Payer customer contracting dynamics across Commercial & Medicare channels & businesses. Collaborate with stakeholders including Finance, Marketing & Field-based Account Managers to ensure optimized decision making on contracting for access.
• Ensure company has appropriate pricing & contracting analytics for current (in-line) & new (pipeline) products, for this payer.
• Perform analysis on deal/ no-deal decisions, inclusive of gross-to-net assessment of any proposed payer contract and economics from the payer perspective (as needed), ensuring accuracy of analysis, & communicating results & recommendations from analysis to cross-functional stakeholde
