Fleet & Driver Supervisor

About the role:

We are looking for highly motivated individuals to supervise our team of AVOs (Autonomous Vehicle Operators) and support the day to day delivery operations. This person should enjoy working on teams that are building operations from the ground up, she or he is consistently curious and boasts a proven track record of coordinating complex operations, consistently exceeding expectations. You're a valuable contributor, providing daily guidance and support to the fleet operations team including necessary feedback to site management, dispatch, fleet maintenance, and engineering teams aimed at improving our groundbreaking automated driving technology while meeting customers’ product delivery needs.

This role is onsite 5 days a week at our Fort Worth, TX office.

What you'll do:

• Plan, organize and ensure the success of the deliveries by managing our AVOs in their day-to-day activity in running routes to transporting freight
• Ensure Gatik standard procedures are executed and provide feedback for improvement
• Review, audit, and set standards for staff to ensure compliance with DOT and FMCSA standards
• Meet and exceed customer satisfaction
• Reinforce, monitor, and cultivate a culture of safety 
• Monitor the status of the AVOs and deliveries to coordinate and prioritize their schedule
• Assist with registering and licensing of all trucks in our fleet
• Manage work schedules to optimize hours and reduce or monitor overtime usage
• Conduct ride-along trips with AVOs to evaluate performance, train and analyze behaviors aligned to safety, quality, and customer service support
• Ensure strict servicing and maintenance times to minimize downtime and maintain schedules
• Play an active role in AVO hiring by helping to interview, select, onboard and train new team members 
• Control repair, inventory, and labor costs
• Facility management, assuring a clean and safe working environment
• Ensure that the electronic logs are kept current and accurate. Oversee labor hours.
• Audit and analyze data inputs in spreadsheets and other reports
• Support teams after hours to address AVO or customer concerns

What we're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transportation, Fleet Management or related field or relevant experience
• 3+ years of experience in a dispatching, logistics, manufacturing or distribution environment
• Strong leadership and management skills including people and customer relationship management experience
• Valid US CDL driver's license, clean driving record and safe driving habits 
• Clean background check, drug screen and DMV Motor Vehicle Record check
• Ability and experience operating Class 3 to Class 6 vehicles
• Must be willing to work flexible hours including taking action after scheduled shift
• Ability to be meticulous, organized, and proactive
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
• Good mechanical aptitude and basic mechanical skills is desirable
• Strong computer skills including the ability to learn and successfully use applications and technologies (Google Suite experience is preferred) 
• Previous relevant experience is a plus (auto, technology, engineering, technician, etc.)
