What You Will Do
- In this role, you will assist in design, architecture, implementation and integration of IT solutions and infrastructure deployments that enhance resiliency and availability of critical services and maintenance of existing technologies deployed throughout the enterprise.
- Build, maintain, and patch systems as well as make recommendations for new or replacement technologies
- Troubleshoot various types of IT environment for corporate and program use.
- Harden systems per cyber compliance requirements.
- Perform network administration by building and deploying new networks, and refining and/or providing troubleshooting expertise to diagnose issues that may present itself within lab environments.
- Windows and Linux system administration of program and lab related systems.
- Basic network administration, VLAN creation, switch upgrades.
- Coordinate change management requests related to assigned systems or environments
- System hardening/auditing against industry baselines such as CIS, DISA STIGs, NIST, etc.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are critical to convey information in a tactful manner and at the technical proficiency of the audience and keeping up to date with current technology trends and future innovations.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Professional administrative experience with Windows and Linux systems, enterprise virtualization technologies, and experience hardening systems per NISPOM, RMF, DISA STIGs, NIST 800-171, etc.
- Professional administrative experience with network design/architecture and implementation via administration of routing, switching, and firewalls.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. US citizenship is required as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.
