About the role

The Role

As a Maintenance Planner based at our cGMP Manufacturing facility in Norwood, MA, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning of maintenance for GMP/non-GMP process support instrumentation and equipment. Your role will be crucial in improving planning and scheduling processes across the company.

Here’s What You’ll Do

  • Plan and coordinate Utilities and metrology work orders for preventative, corrective maintenance, and calibrations.

  • Collaborate with various teams like Spare Part, Supply Chain, Indirect procurement, Maintenance, Plant Engineering, and CMMS to maintain inventory levels, develop work schedules, update work plans, and resolve supplier-related challenges.

  • Review and update work plans as necessary and maintain ownership of the planning process.

  • Work with Engineering and Manufacturing to adjust PM and Calibration triggers for condition-based maintenance.

  • Participate in Job Safety Task Analysis to ensure all jobs are performed safely and effectively.

  • Manage work with outside resources such as vendors or other departments.

  • Process preventative maintenance extensions and ensure compliance with our quality management system.

  • Maintain cGMP records, both paper-based and electronic.

  • Manage contract service providers, including scheduling, training on required SOPs, coordination, and ensuring all work and documentation aligns with cGMP requirements.

  • Administer and perform hazardous energy control procedures.

  • Establish and report department metrics.

  • Undertake other duties as required.

Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table:

  • AS or BS degree in a science/technical field, technical trade school or 5-8 years of relevant experience.

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in a maintenance role in a manufacturing environment, planning experience preferred.

  • Experience with maintaining Utility systems required, HVAC, Chillers, Boilers and Clean water systems

  • Experience with a CMMS is required.

  • Thorough understanding of OSHA regulations related to LOTO, MSDS, Confined Space and Hot Work.

  • Strong verbal and writing communication skills.

  • Demonstrated understanding of preventative and predictive maintenance practices.

  • Ability to use technical expertise and judgement to investigate challenging issues using a structured problem-solving approach.
