Job Summary:
A Senior Internal Development Coordinator supports practice management needs in one or more of the following areas: scheduling, professional development and training, reporting and analysis, and billing. For example, the Senior Internal Development Coordinator may organize and support the scheduling of practice managers and associates for work assignments based on project requirements and skill profiles. This position may also support the office/practices’ career advisor program, budget process, operating results analysis and billing function.
Job Duties:
The Experienced Senior of Internal Development will perform one or more of the following job duties:
Scheduling:
- Supports the scheduling of associates for work assignments based on skill level, industry knowledge and experience, availability and preference
- Utilizes the planning schedule to determine the time frame and qualification requirements for client engagements
- Maintains a 12-month rolling schedule and provides quarterly assessment and adjustments as necessary
- Identifies key measurement factors to effectively allow for planning of future staffing needs
- Monitors unassigned resources and acts as a primary point of contact for unassigned staff; proactively identifying assignments to ensure productivity
Practice managers and associates development:
- Supports BDO’s career advisor program by recommending new and experienced hires with professionals to enhance personal growth
Practice managers and associates training:
- Monitors national training requirements for practice managers and associates and facilitates compliance
- May identify training needs for practice managers and associates and facilitate the meeting of those needs, including the conducting of training
- Liaise with National CPE and Local CPE Partner to provide relevant training to the practice managers and associates and ensure compliance with firm CPE requirements
Reporting and analysis:
- Monitors and evaluates the department’s productivity through analysis and reports
- Prepares comparisons to budgets, goals and prior year results at the individual and group level
- Identifies irregularities in monthly, quarterly and annual results and investigates accordingly
- Assist in the forecast process to help quantify resources needs
Project Management:
- Manage the day-to-day interactions of multiple projects with internal team members, clients, and vendor
- Manage projects to a defined scope of work and implement scope management procedures
- Minimize exposure and risk across multiple projects
- Manage project budgets and schedules
- Ensure project delivery processes are completed
- Review and present deliverables across projects
- Report project status to relevant stakeholders
Additional duties an Experienced Senior of Internal Development may perform:
- Supports and oversees billing functions, including recommending best practices, and monitoring the billing related activities of customer accounts
- Works with directors, managers, and other project leads to ensure timely invoice submission to customers based upon BDO and client agreed upon requirements
- Oversees labor and expense capture and billing process with e-vendors, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure timely recognition of revenue and customer billing

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Education:
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent, required
- Bachelor’s degree, preferred
Experience:
- Three or more years of relevant experience, required
- Experience in a professional services firm, specifically public accounting, highly preferred
License/Certifications:
- N/A
Software:
- Proficient in the use of Windows and Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, required
