About the role

Plenful is seeking a skilled Accounting and FinOps Lead (CPA) professional to lead our financial operations as the first member of our internal finance team. You will own billing, invoicing, expense management, and financial systems, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. This role includes preparing books for audits and tax filings while driving process automation and operational improvements. We’re looking for a CPA with 4–7 years of finance or accounting experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and a track record of optimizing financial processes. Experience in a start-up environment is a plus. 

• Accounting, Billing & Invoicing:
• Oversee and streamline the billing and invoicing processes to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with financial regulations.
• Prepare the company books for closing and tax audits.
• Expense Management:
• • Implement and manage expense tracking systems, ensuring accurate reporting and adherence to company policies.
  • Analyze expense trends and provide actionable insights for cost management.
• Financial Systems Management:
• • Manage financial systems and tools, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of the company.
  • Lead system upgrades and process automation to improve efficiency.
    

What we're looking for

• 4–7 years of experience in finance/accounting roles with a strong operational focus.
• Proven experience in billing, invoicing, and expense management.
• Strong understanding of financial systems management.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience in a tech start-up environment is a plus.
• CPA certification required
