What You’ll Do: The Controls Engineer joining our team will be mainly responsible for the custom control system design, build and implementation of the new innovated manufacturing equipment. Seeking an innovative self-driven automation controls engineer that is willing to test and challenge their abilities and comfort zones. Other tasks could include but not limited to assisting operations with modifying, troubleshooting and helping to improve existing production equipment.

You’ll get to:  

• Design, build, program, and install production related machinery
• Develop project requirements and perform technical calculations supporting design including electrical requirements, safety standards, and motor controls
• Provide cost estimates and timelines for projects
• Follow designs from concept to production
• Research / Implement - advanced manufacturing ideas and concepts
• Some travel required (25%) based on project needs

Who You Are

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred
• 5+ years of experience in a related field
• Extremely proficient with Allen Bradley PLC programming
• Proficient with VFD and Servo controls
• Experience with HMI Programming, AB and Eaton preferred
• Experience with creating electrical drawings, AutoCad Electrical preferred
• Working knowledge of Ignition or other SCADA system
• Fanuc Power Motion and Roboguide experience a plus
