Position Description

 

The Corporate Accountant reports to the Manager of Financial Reporting and will play a key role in the continued evolution of the Company’s accounting processes, systems, and controls. The individual in this role is expected to have a solid knowledge of accounting and finance principles, strong work ethic and a desire for learning and continuous improvement. As part of the Lindsay Finance Team, the individual in this role will work in a collaborative environment with all Lindsay departments to build relationships and accomplish objectives.

 

This is a full-time position in our corporate headquarters in Omaha, Nebraska with the option of a hybrid work schedule with core office days being Tuesday through Thursday.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

 

  • Prepare Forms 10-Q and 10-K, including quarterly schedules and footnote support
  • Draft technical memos and other documentation in support of the Company’s accounting conclusions (e.g. revenue recognition and lease accounting)
  • Partner with business unit finance teams to prepare accurate financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
  • Assist in month-end closing activities by preparing journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Perform various financial reporting related internal control activities
  • Provide internal and external audit support
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or other closely related field
  • Prior experience in an accounting role preferred but not required
  • Solid working knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated analytical ability and independent problem-solving skills
