ASSISTANT MANAGER - HR (MAS INTIMATES - RATHMALANA)

We are on the lookout for a organized and proactive individual join our HR team at MAS Intimates to Take lead and ensure seamless deliver of all tasks pertaining to payroll, attendance, employee relations, recruitment, engagement and other related HR functions whilst driving the talent management processes and operations ensuring the organization is better able to manage and develop talent to drive high performance teams and operational excellence

Key Responsibilities :

  • Work with the Head of Talent Management to execute strategies and milestones whilst formulating department plans
  • Execute and support management in the creation of SOPs for HR, Front end and Manufacturing teams
  • Support the Business unit and or Manufacturing facility on all matters pertaining to HR, Payroll, Recruitment, Employee relations, Industrial Relations
  • Support, develop, implement, sustain and improve effective Human Resource objectives and procedures in order to ensure recruitment, retention, motivation and performance of staff at all levels
  • Take responsibility for the assigned value stream and be able to work independently/with limited supervision to ensure business needs are met within the stipulated timeframe
  • Be responsible for the coordination with all manufacturing units on payroll related management information and ensure alignment of all units for central payroll related strategies and processes whilst ensuring perfect execution of monthly payroll ensuring 100% on-time payment and zero cash salaries whilst adhering to MAS CSE Audit tool
  • Support the formulation and executing of manufacturing TL GL related trainings / evaluations and Training & Development strategies across Intimates
  • Ensure all employee grievances/ issues are resolved effectively
    Facilitate bi-party/ tri-party dialogue (employee/ employer or employee/ employer/ government) ensuring harmonious employer-employee relations within the organization
    Overlook all activities pertaining to the JCC ensuring the smooth functioning of same
  • Coordinate with head of sample room (MDS)/ Production teams to ensure absenteeism and employee turnover is maintained at the desired level
  • Execute and ensure Health & Safety standards are the maintained at the highest level and are in accordance to group, division, customer and labour law requirements
  • Ensure perfect execution of Women Go Beyond (WGB) and CSR projects within the stipulated timeframe to supporting company-wide welfare projects
  • Demonstrate ability to conduct analysis on the information/ reports and be able to identify solutions to the anomalies prior to approaching management
  • Work in collaboration with the team to achieve set annual/medium term revenue, financial / non-financial targets, analyse annual overhead budget whilst identify variances for corrective action and provide strategic guidance where needed to ensure KPI’s are met.

Qualifications, Experience, Skills and Competencies:

  • Degree - Human Resources / Management / relevant field with professional qualifications 
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in the similar capacity
  • Cross functional knowledge and experience
  • Business Acumen
  • Relationship management
