Highlights:
Regional leadership in operational excellence, culture, and development.
Responsibility for 22 retail GFS stores in the Chicago metro area in northeast Illinois, northwest Indiana, and southeast Wisconsin.
Location: This position will be based in our Chicago metro area. The individual must reside in close proximity to some of our stores, but the exact location is flexible.
The Regional Manager serves as the driving force for managing change and optimizing resources to improve operations and financial results.
In this multi-unit leadership role, you’ll lead and develop others in the areas of:
Customer experience - utilizing analytics and reporting to develop action plans.
Operational store standards, including merchandising, product quality, sanitation and inventory management.
Financial success, including sales, margin, labor, general expenses, inventory and profit and loss. Develops capital and operational budgets for the stores in the region.
Continuous improvement, through regular store visits and business reviews for the Store Manager.
Business growth, providing direction to effectively open new stores and execute resets and relocations.
Risk management, partnering with Store Management, Asset Protection, Facilities, and Food Safety, in the areas of loss, safety, and compliance.
Team performance, with responsibility for succession planning, selection, development, performance, and retention of store leadership.
As for any position, there are some requirements:
Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma required.
5 years of retail management experience, including 2 years of multi-unit management experience.
Retail leadership experience with fresh, perishables, grocery, or food service (preferred).
Schedule Availability: Flexibility for frequent travel, and night/weekend work.
Knowledge of strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, and leadership principles.
Demonstrated decision-making skills involving judgment and complex analysis and problem solving.
Experience with budgeting and financial analysis.
Ability to prepare and deliver presentations.
