Overview

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a part time General Dentist to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health. The Hospital is part of NYC Health + Hospitals. South Brooklyn Health is a redesigned health care campus featuring the new 11-floor Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital which provides emergency care, modern labor & delivery suites, and state-of-the-art surgical services. The new Health & Wellness Institute offers outpatient services—from primary and preventive care to specialty services for children and adults—all designed to keep our community healthy and accommodates more than 250,000 outpatient visits, more than 89,000 emergency room visits, and with 371 beds, more than 15,000 inpatient admissions annually. 

 

The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with SUNY Downstate Medical Center and NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine to maintain its high standards of healthcare delivery.

Responsibilities

The part-time Dentist will join our Community Hospital and work with residents as well.

• Provide general dentistry patient care
• Provide resident education and participate in research activities
• Provide clinical guidance and direction to other members of the healthcare team as needed
• Assists in the establishment and maintenance of standards of performance for physicians and other professional employees working in the service
• Performs other administrative, professional, consultative duties as needed by the department Chairperson and Division Chief

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Dental School and Residency program
• Active, unrestricted NYS License
• Board certified or the ability to become board certified within 5 years of hire
• Experience attending to an under-served population preferred
