What we want
The College of Dentistry is looking for a part-time Biopsy Service Associate to serve in the department of Diagnostic Sciences in support of the timely diagnosis of biopsy specimens for the Oral Pathology Service (OPS). This position serves as a liaison between OPS and medical/dental facilities, clients, the Texas A&M University College of Dentistry departments, and the laboratory’s third‑party billing company. The Biopsy Service Associate provides essential customer service, specimen accessioning support, billing coordination, and administrative assistance to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant laboratory operations. What you need to know
Salary minimum: $19.56 hourly (Based on selected hire's qualifications).
Work Schedule Requirements: This is an on-site, part-time position with an expected schedule of 24 work hours per week with a minimum expectation of three work days per week on-site, preferably on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. There is flexibility to work more days per week, but no less than three days per workweek.

Required Education and Experience
High school graduation or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Three years of experience in general office or clerical work.
Preferred Qualifications
Professional experience in a related role in the medical field and/or customer service.
Degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Laboratory Technology, or coursework in chemistry, biology, or medical laboratory technology.
Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including variable hours and days
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Willingness and ability to transition to a full‑time role in the future, if applicable
