The Opportunity
Leavitt Machinery is looking for a Field Technician (Heavy Equipment or Automotive) to join our team in Portland, Oregon.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
As the Shop Technician your key responsibilities will include:
- Perform work as assigned by the Dispatcher and/or Chargehand
- Diagnose and complete equipment repairs in a timely manner, providing a variety of repair options that best meet customer needs; failure analysis may be required
- Fill out all necessary timecards for each job, documenting customer damage where required
- Identify any potential problems that may result in machine downtime to best maintain the equipment for both our retail and internal customers
- Partner with the Parts department to identify and order parts required, while adhering to the Parts and Service Agreement
Required Skills & Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies:
- High School diploma
- Relevant trade certificate is an asset
- Valid driver’s license
- Physically able to lift up to 50lbs
- Previous aerial platform and lift truck experience considered an asset
