About the role

Do you want to be a part of changing healthcare? Oracle is excited to be using our resources, knowledge, and expertise—as well as our successes in other industries—and applying them to healthcare to make a meaningful impact. As people, we all participate in healthcare, it’s deeply personal, and we put the human at the center of each of our decisions. Improving healthcare for all requires bringing unique perspectives and expertise together to holistically tackle the biggest problems in global health including physician burnout, patient access to data, and barriers to quality care.

We are looking for an experienced Software Developer that is passionate, innovative, loves solving complex challenges, strives for exceptional quality software, and wants to make a difference in people’s lives. As a Consulting Member of Technical Staff, you will be a key contributor in designing and building software development projects that integrate real-time data on Public Safety vehicles using the Oracle CareAware Platform and the Oracle IoT Platform.

You will apply your extensive knowledge of software architecture to work on a next-gen ambulance that has a high degree of integration of real-time data with on-board and external services. Your expertise in complex user workflows, data platforms, and distributed architecture will directly enable AI-first solutions that drive outcomes for clinicians, patients, and healthcare operations.

Your role will be to lay the groundwork for the applications that will integrate data from multiple clinical and non-clinical sources.  That data will be passed though the Oracle CareAware Platform and the Oracle IoT Platform into the Oracle medical record where it will be used by clinician at the receiving facility to improve the patient care experience and to the clinicians in the ambulance to improve care in the pre-hospital setting. Non-clinical data will also be collected to improve fleet maintenance and other back-office operations for pre-hospital and hospital providers.

What you will do:

  • Design end-to-end architecture for scalable, reliable distributed cloud-native healthcare and data platforms powering AI-first applications that deliver customer delighting experiences.
  • Design an AI-first workflow that will allow for a small team to have a big impact by delivering quality code and testing frameworks that will scale as the team grows.
  • Translate high-level system design into architectural documentation, drive engineering peer reviews, and lead technical decision-making.
  • Collaborate across teams and with healthcare domain experts to deliver intuitive, accessible user experiences and open APIs.
  • Prototype critical components, bootstrap projects, and contribute high-quality code with strong code review practices.
  • Automate and instrument build, test, and deployment workflows to improve developer velocity and service resilience.

What you must have:

  • Expert in system design, data architecture, and secure data handling/privacy-by-design
  • Proven delivery with architects, principals, product, and program managers
  • Have functional expertise and broad company knowledge
  • Demonstrated leadership and people management skills.
  • Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development.
  • BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 10 or more years of software engineering or related experience.

Why Join our team?

•    Drive innovation and make a global impact improving healthcare outcomes
•    Lead high-visibility projects in a collaborative and entrepreneurial team environment
•    Work with the latest AI and cloud technologies
•    Competitive compensation, benefits, and opportunities for growth
•    Ready to revolutionize healthcare with Oracle? Apply today to join us and help shape the future of patient care!
