Job Title: Registered Nurse
Department: Surgery Center, Back Office
Status: Non-exempt, FT
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Locations: Calhoun, Jonesboro, Decatur, Gainesville, Newnan, Marietta (Travel REQUIRED)

Position Purpose
A Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing and identifying patients' needs, then implementing and monitoring the patient's medical plan and treatment.
Responsibilities and Duties Clinical
• Start IV's prior to surgery
• Record patient vitals and medical information
• Monitor, report and record symptoms or changes in patient conditions
• Administer medication to patients and monitor them for side effects and reactions
• Assess, implement, plan and evaluate patient nurse care plans by working with the healthcare team members
• Modify patient health treatment plans as indicated by patient conditions and responses
• Recognize the different needs of patients and understand their needs
• Comply with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
• Record medical information into Epic
• Perform other job related duties as assigned
• Administration duties; budgets and financial matters, complete paperwork as needed.
Qualifications
• Bachelor or master degree in nursing
• Proficient in starting IV's
• Knowledge of AAA
• Joint commission accreditation
• Proficient with paper work
Special Position Requirement
• Traveling is required to the 6 different surgery centers.
Preferences
• At least one (2) years of experience preferred
• Experience in surgery center is preferred
• Epic experience is preferred.
Work Requirements
• Good physical condition to occasionally sit, frequently walk, bend, stoop and squat; occasionally lift, carry, push, pull maximum over 50 lbs. with assistance.
• Must be able to see, hear, speak, and use both hands to easily communicate.
• Employee duties will frequently require computer usage including the ability to type as well as verbally communicate with patients and co-workers.
• Assist patients in and out of the patient chair with support with other staff members.
• Reliable transportation
