About the role

Job Summary

Performs pastoral duties under the supervision of the Pastoral Care Coordinator.  Demonstrate understanding and use of pastoral dialogue, prayer, and scripture within the professional integrity of pastoral care and counseling.  Responsible for providing pastoral care to the patients, families, and staff throughout Atrium Health Navicent and the middle Georgia Atrium market as needed. Travel to the satellite locations will be required as needed in order to perform job duties.  

 

Education, Training, and Experience

Bachelor of Science or Arts degree from an accredited college or university, and a Master of Arts in Counseling, Master of Arts in Pastoral Counseling, Master of Arts in Religion, a Master of Divinity from an accredited theological seminary, or equivalent.  

Must attend classes that are specifically designed for resident chaplains such as verbatim sessions and didactic lectures.

Must hold either an LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor), LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist), or religious ordination.
