Kitchen assistant - Hótel Grímsborgir

Hotel Grímsborgir is looking for a cook/assistant for the hotel's elegant restaurant.

The work is based on 2-2-3 shift arrangement and work hours are between 10.00 – 22:00.

Main tasks and responsibilities

• Cooking and food preparation  
• Unpacking deliveries
• Preparing meals for staff 
• Other kitchen related duties

Skills and qualification

• Similar job experience is a requirement
• Apprenticeship in cooking is advantage
• Professional, positive, polite and hospitality mindset.
• Flexibility in work
• Good knowledge in Icelandic and English

Hotel Grímsborgir offers accommodation, dining, and service for up to 240 guests. Hotel Grimsborgir has an elegant restaurant with a broad a la carte menu with both Icelandic and international dishes. The restaurant seats 200 guests and in the summer you can enjoy outside seats on the beautiful terrace. The restaurant's buffets have become well known for their quality and variety.

The hotel is located in Grímsnes, along the Golden Circle, on the banks of the River Sog. An exceptionally peaceful location just 45 minutes away from Reykjavik.
